Currently fire vehicles include a Class A Pumper, a Tanker, Mini Pumper, Grass Rig and a Medical Response Truck. The Fire Department responds as first responding medical, local storm watchers and all fires in the town of St. Paul, Mission Township and also provides services to part of Lincoln Township.

As an active part of the St. Paul Community, the Fire Department helps with many community events. St. Paul/Mission Fire Department sponsors the annual Mission Day celebration, they provide sound systems, operate a bake sale, and provide manpower during the annual event.

The Fire Station is also the location for the soup supper and kid’s games for the annual City Christmas Parade in December.

The addition of the enlarged station, conference rooms and kitchen has allowed the department to assist with these events as well as provide space for various meetings and training events.  With the addition of a generator that will keep the entire fire station in full function during the event of a disaster.

The St. Paul/Mission Township Fire Department also provides educational and volunteerism opportunities to the community.  Every October the department educates the elementary school on fire safety.  In the Spring of 2013, they will be the host of Neosho County Emergency Management Storm classes which is open to the community.

There is much to do and if anyone if interested in becoming a volunteer please attend the monthly meeting which is held the second Wednesday of the month @ 7:00 in the meeting room. Other opportunities to volunteer are available thru the Mission Township Bucket Brigade.
